Configure Windows Defender Firewall For Divi Desktop (Windows 10 & 11)

Divi Desktop needs internet access to sync and manage your coins.
If Windows Defender Firewall is blocking it, your wallet won’t sync, and you won’t be able to manage your coins.

Don’t worry—this guide walks you through allowing Divi Desktop through the firewall.

⚙️ What You’ll Need

  • ✅ Your Windows PC (10 or 11)

  • ✅ Divi Desktop already installed

  • ✅ Admin privileges on your computer

Six (6) Simple Steps

Step 1: Open Windows Settings

  • Windows 10:

    • Click the Start (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner.

    • Type Settings and click the Settings app.

  • Windows 11:

    • Click the Start button (centered on the taskbar by default).

    • Type Settings in the search bar and select the Settings app.

Step 2: Open Windows Defender Firewall Settings

  1. In the Settings window, type “firewall” in the top search bar.

  2. From the results, select:
Windows Defender Firewall (under “Best match”).

Step 3: Allow an App Through the Firewall

  1. On the left menu, click:
Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.

  2. Click Change settings (you’ll need Admin permission).

  3. Click Allow another app...

Step 4: Add Divi Desktop (Program Files)

  1. Click Browse in the pop-up window.

  2. In the left pane, select This PC.

  3. Paste this path into the File name field:

    C:\Program Files\Divi Desktop\Divi Desktop.exe

  4. Click Open.

  5. Click Network types → Check both Private and PublicOK.

  6. Click "Add" to include Divi Desktop in the list of allowed apps.

Step 5: Add the Divid Component

  1. Click Allow another app... again.

  2. Click Browse.

  3. In the File name field, paste this path (replace {username} with your actual Windows username):

    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Divi Desktop\divid\unpacked

  4. Click Open.

  5. Again, click Network types → Check Private and PublicOK.

  6. Click "Add" to include it in the list of allowed apps.

Step 6: Close and Restart

  • Close the Allowed Apps window.

  • Restart Divi Desktop to test applied firewall changes.

Your wallet should now sync normally!
