Divi Desktop: Emergency Seed Phrase Recovery Guide

If you need to recover your Divi Desktop wallet using your seed phrase, follow this guide. This process is designed for emergency recovery and is not intended for migration. Migration is faster and cleaner, especially for older wallets, if you move the files from the original machine to the new one. (migration & backup steps)

Preparation for Emergency Recovery

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

  • A computer to recover to (this can be the same computer or a new one).
  • Time required: Approximately 1 hour.

Important Notes

  • Seed Recovery is for emergencies only.
If you're migrating your wallet, use the migration process instead of this guide.
  • Password reset: The recovered wallet file will not have a password. You must set a new one after recovery.
  • Seed Words Always Work: Using your original 24-word recovery phrase ensures you can access your coins.
