This guide will show you how to enable the metered connection setting for both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections on Windows 10 and 11.

For Wi-Fi Connections

1. Open Network Settings

   • Press Windows + I on your keyboard to open Settings.
     
   • Navigate to Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
     

2. Select Your Wi-Fi Network

   • Under Wi-Fi, click on the network name you're currently connected to.
     

3. Enable Metered Connection

   • Scroll down to the Metered Connection section.
